Friends, almost every person, whether from science or commerce or humanities, ultimately for his masters decides between MBA or MS or MTech. And many people like you have asked me, 'you have done MBA, so can you please tell why is MBA necessary? How does it benefit?'. So, in this post or video I will share with you 5 reasons that make MBA worth it.
1. Business understanding.
you get a business understanding. I was a science student, before doing my MBA I had only studied biology my whole life. I had no idea what happens in real life. what is marketing? what is finance? IT, operation supply chain, no idea at all. So, when I went just seeing things the wat I used to , I could see a lot more than that. I could see how to view a situation from a marketing perspective, from a perspective, from overall business perspective. So, if you are a student, just like most of us, who has no idea what happen in a business, maybe he is not from a business family, then a MBA truly tells you how to think and behave like in a business situation.
2. Exposure and Self confidence
3. To Change Industry
Third reason, a role or industry change. If you already working, suppose you are software developer or you are in finance and you want to go to product management from software development or to marketing from finance, then a MBA is a great way to do that because the recruiter sees that, ‘Your bachelor degree was in finance or engineering, so you have a expertise in that, you have even worked in that field, so now how I trust that you can be a part of a new field in my company’, so a MBA,’ Because now I know that you have given 1-2 years to a curriculum to get a training that prepares you my industry, my company, my role’. And that’s why a MBA is a great way for you to change your role, your industry and start a completely new one.
4. Network and Alumni
Fourth, alumni and network. Friends, it is a big asset. When you go to a business school, a MBA school, then your batch will always be with you ultimately. You must be with them on whatsapp group or
Telegram or Signal or whatever, but most importantly you will be connected to them because they were from your batch and had spent time with them, 1-2 years in the campus or hostel, and that forms a lifelong bond just like from your engineering or bachelors. And that creates a wonderful network and this network goes all the way before and after too. All the students and batches that passed out before you from the school, all of them are your alumni will come after you in the business school, all of them will be a part of your network. And this is a powerful network because if the school is good, network is good, students are good, then they will go on in different companies, different roles and going forward, all these people create new opportunities for you. This is incredibly powerful.
5. For Better Job
Fifth and last, Friends, a MBA is necessary because these day all recruiters are looking out for this degree. The truth is for any business role, more and more companies, more and more recruiters want a MBA degree then it suddenly becomes somewhat of a disadvantage. They think may be you are not interested in business or maybe you didn’t get admission anywhere So, unfortunately and I would say that it is unfortunate because it should not be so that only an
MBA can get you a business role . But that is the reality at least in India that recruiters, companies are looking for MBA degree in your resume, in your profit and if you have it then it suddenly helps you, it makes you eligible.
These 5 reasons for doing a MBA which according to me are the reasons why you should consider it. It has a very important caveat, a very important exception, like I said, it is not necessary that you cannot succeed in your role without a MBA, that is not free can absolutely do it, without a MBA, there are many examples, I know a few where people have done some remarkable work. But it is important to know, which roles want or require MBA mandatorily and which roles desire or prefer it. If you are in a business role then it is obvious that MBA is inevitable, MBA is a mandatory requirement. But if you are in a tech role, a creative role, a role which is not related to business but let’s say that it is related to marketing or a creative field, like graphic designing, content writing, editing or engineering then MBA is a preferred degree not a required degree and that’s why you will see enough and more examples where people have planned thee career very well, without a MBA but only in areas where it was not a business role, it was a non- business role and that made all the difference I hope this helps If you any other question on MBA, then please as me in the comment section.
