Friends, I recently make a video where I spoken about passive income, a way to earn a nice and small pocket money, have a side income and one of those ways was content creation. Content creation is a powerful tool where you create content, just like I create these posts, you can make a passive income for yourself. How? In this post . I will share with you, how through YouTube you make a passive income? How you can build this entire income stream? First of all, you need to know that to earn through YouTube, you will have to cross a certain minimum threshold and friends, the threshold doesn't come by just publishing videos or just because one video of yours got viral, we are talking about a consistent income which means that the discipline and  consistency of producing videos is very important and then gradually the game changed And then you reach a place where you can hope to make income from it. First way which is the most basic way

1. Making income through YouTube

Making income through YouTube, ads. Whenever you watch a video on YouTube, then there are ads at its beginning and if that video is too long then it has ads in between as well. So, if you have made videos and they are on YouTube then you can turn on your ad monetization, which means that you allow YouTube to play ads during your video. When those ads play and anyone clicks on them, then YouTube earns money, and whatever money YouTube earns, it shares a certain percentage of it with you. To give you a sense, last year YouTube shared 30 billion dollars with creators. 30 billion dollars which is powerful because now it tells you that how much is the potential of YouTube's ad revenue. Now how does one make money and how much can they earn? This is a hard question. In India, if you generate 1000 views, so on an average you will earn between 50-200 rupees for every 1000 views, which means all the videos that you make in a month, if you get a hundred thousand views on them, then you can make anywhere between 5,000-20,000 rupees a month Now, to get a hundred thousand views is not easy, you know that if you already create videos, if you don't then I am telling you it's n not easy, But this is the basic construct. This money automatically goes into your account and it is a well - oiled machinery. This is the first way that you make money through YouTube.

2. Brand Collaboration

You do collaboration what are collaboration? Many times, you will see that in a video, ads are already playing but the content of that video is about a product or it is about a topic but a product is also described or recommended in that topic. In many technical videos, for instance, if you make a video about top 5 laptops of 2021, and one of those laptops is of a company that you have collaborated with. They have told you that, ‘We really like your content and we want you to talk about this laptop of ours, so if you create any content topic which can include this laptop, then please do it and we will pay you for that’. How do you find these collaborations? When become big then these collaborations automatically start coming to you, people will write in to you directly. If you are small, the you need to align yourself with an agency or someone who does these collaborations. There are many present, like Beer Biceps, Ranveer Allahbadia’s company Monk E Entertainment and they do exactly this. They work with influencers, they work with brands, they create campaigns which help spread the word of that brand through the influencer community. So, that is the second way for you to build an income through your YouTube content.

3. MAKING INCOME THROUGH YOUTUBE

Third, affiliate. Affiliate means that, it’s not necessary you saying something in content but you share links in your comment or description. When someone clicks on that link and lands on that product page or that destination which maybe a website or an app or whatever, then you get a certain percentage of the revenue they generate. So, suppose you recommend a book and you share an Amazon link on that book recommendation, you are a member of Amazon’s affiliate program which is by the way a very powerful program and I think it’s the world’s biggest affiliate program. So, you shared that link, someone clicked it and landed on Amazon website and then they bought that book or anything else, so whatever revenue it generated for Amazon, it will share a certain percentage of it with you. It could be the same thing for any other recommendation that you make. So many a times when you see links in a video, all of those could be affiliate links. I use affiliate links. 4. MAKINIG INCOME THROUGH YOUTUBE DIRECT SELLING

Final, if you are yourself selling something. Suppose you have a side business where you sell t-shirts or mugs or merchandise or you are a graphic designer and you sell your graphic designs or you are a video editor or a creative content creator and you have your own website and you want to promote it. Anything that you directly want to sell or promote can be done through YouTube and then generate a passive income. If you put links in that video or in content description and comments, whether to your web store, whether through your website, it basically will drive people to that destination and then you can directly earn money.

These 4 ways, playing ads, making collaboration, earning income and then direct selling, is a great way for to make passive income through YouTube. Like I said, it is hard work, it’s not as easy and its not as glamorous as you think it is from a distance. All the big YouTube whose videos you watch and appreciate their content, all of them produced high quality content since many years with a lot of hard work and consistency, then only they have reached a point where they are able to generate a steady income. I can tell you for a fact that the top YouTubers of this country, I won’t take any names because I don’t know exactly, but they are earning anywhere from 2-10 lakh rupees a month through these 4 links or passive income sources. Ad revenue by itself is the smallest but it’s happy money. Affiliate and collaborations are very exciting, the bigger you are and the niche that you are, it is very exciting. If you are a niche of the entertainment world, whether you create comedy content or you create music content or you create short films and what not, then a lot of lifestyle products collaborate with you, like mobile phones, bikes, cars, new fashion products, beauty products and so and so forth. If you make videos on personal finance then a lot of fintech companies collaborate with you, whether it is the likes of Zerodha, small case or other investing apps that are coming up, dime a dozen. So, there are avenues if you have a Strong niche. And then there are enough people who are selling directly their content. Many creators are now running their own courses and they are directly benefitting form their YouTube reach.
